03About

Most reporting problems are not reporting problems. They are modelling decisions someone made in a hurry two years ago.
I grew up in central New Jersey and graduated magna cum laude from Rutgers University with a degree in Business Analytics & Information Technology. These days I am based in Houston, working as a data analyst on the Structured Finance Technology team at BNY, where I support syndicated loan and CLO operations.I started my career on the operations side, and that experience still shapes how I approach my work. I spent plenty of hours on manual, repetitive tasks, so I know how much time they eat up and how much better things get once that work is automated. That experience is a big part of why I enjoy building data pipelines and dashboards: taking messy data and turning it into something clear enough that people can actually make decisions with it.
Outside of work, I am digging deeper into low-level programming with C++. I find it fascinating to learn what happens underneath the code most of us write every day, like how kernels manage memory and processes and how operating systems are built from the ground up. That curiosity has turned into projects like a NASDAQ ITCH parser and order book simulator, plus a home Linux server I probably tinker with more than I should.
